In conjunction with the Prisons Department's 72nd anniversary, a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony was held at the Kampung Mata-Mata Gadong Religious Hall, 21st May afternoon.

Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs. Organised by the department's religious committee, the ceremony coincided with an endowment presentation consisting a speaker's desk for the religious hall.
